Smoothie bowls. I made my first one earlier this week and it was soooo good and sooo refreshing! I see more of these in my future as the weather warms up!

Paper Crowns. They are so so easy to make and provide days of entertainment at our house! Let them decorate it on their own, play dress up with them, so much fun.Β I love the idea of creating your own type glamour out of something plain and simple. Anything to get their creativity going!

Fresh herbs. I have been cooking more with fresh herbs and have really been tasting the difference! Sometimes dried it better if you want a hint of flavor, but I’ve been finding that especially in creating your own rubs and when roasting fresh is best. I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to start our herb garden up again!

Photos. It’s no secret I love to document things. This week however, I find myself all the more thankful for them when my Uncle passed away earlier this week. He had been fighting Leukemia for some time and now that he is no longer with us, I am so so grateful to have these pictures to look back on. To be able to live in a moment from the past, even if it is just for a moment. To be transported back to a moment in time is such a wonderful gift.

Lidia’s Favorites Cookbook. I got this cookbook a while ago but didn’t break it out until this week and loved what I found! So many recipes remind me of my family and dinners we’ve had together. If you’re looking for some great traditional Italian recipes, I highly recommend this one, Β I can’t wait to give them all a try!

Date Night with the Husband. They don’t happen as often as we like but it is so so nice every once in a while to dedicate a night to just us. To the us before kids, to feel like we are kids again and just relax and enjoy each other’s company. It is so important not to forget to date your spouse. I am making it a goal for us to start doing this once a month. Doesn’t have to be to fancy or expensive but some time dedicated to reconnecting just the two of us. This time tho, we went big to celebrate 13 years together! We met our friends Sarah and Derek at my fave restaurant La Merenda for a dinner full of yummy tapas, great conversation and amazing sangria. Then we were off to see the Lumineers! We had been looking forward to this night for so long and we had the.best.time. Shout out to the in laws for watching the kiddos! We ended the night at Insomnia cookies which was perfect! So glad that place wasnt around when we lived on the Eastside because boy would I have taken advantage of that back in the college days! lol
