One of our favorite fall traditions is going to the pumpkin patch and picking our pumpkins. We started going even before we had kids and it’s all the more fun with two littles in the mix! We usually go to either Elegant Farmer or Basse’s, but this year we decided to just take a drive and enjoy the fall colors and hoped we would stumble across a farm on the way. Since we live out in farmland it’s not toooo crazy of an idea 🙂
We ended up at Cedarburg Creek Farm and it might be our new favorite! They had a small petting zoo for the kids, a mini hay maze ( which was plenty big for me ha! ), bouncy houses, pony rides and more. Not to mention the hayride was FREE! Which isn’t the case most places, and it was the best one yet!
Mia was in a bit of a mood that day and definitely had her sassy pants on but I could still get a smile outta her most of the time 🙂
Joa was his usual dreamy self and just went with the flow the whole time. He especially loved the area they had a bunch of corn kernels and toy trucks and diggers, that boy was in heaven!
Mia scored big when we went back to the car for a quick diaper change (Joa’s) and a farmer gave her a bunch of tickets, making the grand total we spent there $5.
We didn’t end up getting our pumpkins there because the lines were long to pay and the kids were getting hangry, but overall it was a great time!
Later that night we went to a cousin’s fundraiser and did more fun pumpkin filled activates like painting pumpkins and wooden pumpkin cutouts. A great weekend in October for the Zahner family!
