When My Mama Visits

When my Mama visits I come home to a hot home cooked meal, and it’s usually one of my favorites.

When my Mama visits all the clothes that no longer fit my babies magically get organized into bins and stored out of the way.

When my Mama visits my house is always cleaner than usual.

When my Mama visits I feel at peace.

When my Mama visits I get to sit down and eat a meal while it is still hot.

When my Mama visits I feel like I’m a kid again.

When my Mama visits I have one of the best shoulders to cry on.

When my Mama visits we get showered with little gifts that mean the world to us.

When my Mama visits the kids get to each spend a day with her and attend things like story time at the library that I can never take them to myself.

When my Mama visits I laugh a lot.

When my Mama visits there is always a pot of coffee brewing before I get up.

When my Mama visits Mike and I get that rare “alone time” we so need and enjoy.

When my Mama visits I get recharged, renewed.

When my Mama visits my heart is happy.

When my Mama visits I always wish she could stay just one more day.
